A lovely welcome from Pat, was travelling with my Mum to Ireland for a holiday and on the strength of the reviews on here booked a 1 night stay going and 1 night on return from Ireland. Pat could not do enough for us as my Mum walks with a stick. We had the lovely family room on our first... more

The Balyett B&B was an excellent choice for us as we wanted a quiet break away for Easter. The accomodation was immaculate with beautifully decorated rooms and wonderful sea views. The little extras in the room included good choice of teas/drinks and extra toiletries in the bathroom (razors, deoderant etc). The breakfast was wonderful, cooked to perfection! In the evening... more

We stayed overnight to and from Belfast. When we arrived tea and coffee were served and we were made to feel welcome. There was a lounge where we met other guests and had an enjoyable evening. A local restaurant was recommended that was excellent and not over expensive and a taxi organised for us. Both ourselves and the other couple... more

It is a place out of reach of the individual thinking to walk from and to the ferry and to find any sort of distraction such as seeing some sights, shopping and restaurants for meals other than the breakfast offered here. The following review for Cross Haven B&B will explain my point of view: "Cannot give an entirely unbiased review... more

A lovely B&B situated a short drive from town centre. Owner gave us some great advice to see Portpatrick a 11 km drive away which was well worth it. We got chinese take away and they allowed us to use their kitchen table which was very kind. We had two kids and we were made very comfortable and didn't feel... more

Balyett is a lucky find you will be delighted to go back to time and time again. Pat and Bill are very welcoming and can't do enough for you. All B&Bs should be like this. Nice extras, lovely rooms, private parking and perfect for the ferries. Highly recommended! more

I spent quite a while looking for a BB to suite our needs and chose the Balyett and it turned out to be a very lucky choice. If you want a room with a view , ultra clean laundry & bedding ,cut glass wine glasses, mints for afters, choice of biscuits on the always replenished tea tray, then you've got it.... more

The Baylett is ideally situated close to Stranraer and Cairnryan ferries. One enters into a very homely atmosphere, and is made to feel most welcome. The rooms are very comfortable, with some very nice extra touches, including a lovely view over Loch Ryan, especially at sunset. A very very enjoyable stay. Highly recommended.
