Fernlea Guest House is a great place to stay if you are traveling by ferry to Ireland from the Stranraer Port. The beds are very good quality and comfortable, bathrooms large and spotlessly clean, and the hosts are friendly and very accommodating. We found Fernlea Guest House purely by accident and I am so glad that we did. We travel over to Ireland in the summer every year and for the past four years we have been staying overnight at the Fernlea in Stranraer, before getting the ferry to Ireland. We stayed at the Fernlea Guest House again this year en route to Belfast. We weren't disappointed, after a long cold journey it's nice to arrive somewhere so clean, warm and welcoming.
