This is a small guest house situated on the Locking Road, Weston-super-Mare. The front of the property is neat and tidy with ample parking for about 6 cars. I was greated with a warm and friendly smile as I was efficiently checked in by one of the owners. The Fernlea has four guest rooms and I stayed in room 1... more

We stayed at the Fernlea Guest House again this year en route to Belfast. We weren't disappointed, after a long cold journey it's nice to arrive somewhere so clean, warm and welcoming. We'd recommend Fernlea to anybody staying in the area or using the ferries to Ireland. Thanks again Lynn and Kenny Gordon & Sue more

We just came back from 2 weeks in Scotland and Ireland. Everyone was extremely friendly, but the nicest person we encountered was Lynn at Fernlea House. She offered dining suggestions in town, but also talked to us about local life, and asked about our lives. What television shows people in Scotland watch, the price of cable TV, how few American... more

We had the good fortune to stay in this very well-appointed and most comfortable b&b when on business near Stranraer. We can highly recommend this accommodation - from the friendly welcome by Lynn and Kenny to the lovely breakfast (which came back to haunt us during the dance workshops we were delivering that morning!). And the tariff was very good... more

My partner and I stayed one night and vowed we'd be back. Kenny and Lynn made us feel so welcome - even though our football team (East Fife) beat the local side! The room was excellent, a good size and immaculately presented while the en suite facilities were bigger than some hotel bedrooms I've stayed in. Breakfast was first class... more

This was our third visit to Fernlea (1999, 2001, and 2007). Each time we have enjoyed a friendly welcome with clean and comfortable accomodations. Our hosts, Lynn and Kenny, are always most anxious to assist in any way needed. This time we had just spent the day on several trains coming down from Edinburg so we were very grateful for... more

Unfortunately I have to give this establishment the worst review I've ever written. We had booked through a travel agent and our "voucher" stated we needed to call before 6:00pm if we were going to be late. We were in Edinburgh that day and my husband badly sprained his ankle. After a 3 hour hospital trip we finally left for... more

You'll receive a very warm welcome from Lynn & Kenny, a very lovely couple. We booked overnight stay only as we were catching the ferry the following afternoon. Great location for walking into town for an evening meal and also for visiting the local area. Our room was immaculate and of very high standard and the breakfast was excellent and... more

We stayed at the Fernlea Guest House, Stranraer on June 8th 2007. We were greeted with a smile at the door. We were treated as friends immediately. Although all hotel owners are friendly, Lynne made us feel so welcome in her home straight away. Nothing was too much trouble for Lynne. In the room was a small fridge which was... more
