I'll just tell you the pros and cons of this hotel Pro: -Being right on the trolley line -The park behind the hotel -Great location for walking -Nice tv's Cons: -No valet when you pull up -Rude guest services -Security guy sitting and watching a sports game rather than walking the parking lot -Coffee that is days old and when... more
The Sleep Inn was a good place to stay with relatively cheap suites and fairly close to Beale Street - although not as close as others said. We have a small child and usually look for suites so we can watch television while she sleeps. The suites were cheaper than other hotels that were closer to Beale St. It less... more
After a week backpacking this place seemed like luxury. 2 comfy double beds - luxury furnishings everywhere. Big tvs etc. Clean etc. Right in the centre of town. Big hotel feel etc. more
I've stayed at this Sleep Inn in downtown Memphis at least three times in the past year. I've also stayed at other hotels downtown and east of the city. This hotel was suggested by a person out at Graceland. Since neither one of us had been to Memphis, we thought this was good advice. We called and was able to get reservations. We spent two days in Memphis on our way to Mardi Gras in NOLA. We had not made an advance reservation electing to find a place once we got to Memphis. Most of the downtown hotels were booked and we went to the Comfort only to find one small room available. They were kind enough to call their sister hotel,... more
This hotel is only 4-5 blocks from Beale St and in a good neighborhood. The police park at the ends of Beale St for extra protection. This in a great location, awesome breakfast as others have mentioned with the "make your own waffle" waffemaker among other premium breakfast pastries. Guests have to either pay 12 to valet park or 10... more
We stayed for two nights at this hotel at the beginning of October. We mainly selected this hotel for its location and on that score we were not disappointed. Main Street is directly behind the hotel and has a frequent tram service, which is fairly inexpensive. We walked to Beale Street in about 5 minutes and although main street was... more
