This hotel has been remodeled and the rooms are on the small side, but clean and nice. The room I was is had a microwave and refrigerator. It is within walking distance (couple blocks) to downtown attractions.(Beale St,etc). The area around the hotel seems deserted, but I didn't feel unsafe walking down Union St to get to Beale St. I am returning to Memphis at the end of the month and will definitely stay there again. My ONLY complaint, was that I was given 3 different prices for the room. I called 3 days prior to my trip and was told a price of 65.00, then called again on my way there, to make sure there were rooms available and was told a price of 75.00, and then when I got there late that night was told a price of 85.00 when checking in! This annoyed me. I got the room for 75.00, which a good price compared the the other hotels in the area. I would suggest if you call to get a price and you like the sound of it, book it right then!
