We arrived at the hotel to a smooth check in, which was great as customer service is an important thing to me as I work in the travel industry inthe UK. The satff were amazing, friendly and helpful. It was my first time The States so everyone I met at The Marriot gave me a great perception of an American... more

No complaints. Friendly helpful staff. Room was clean and comfy. The hotel is very convenient to downtown. The trolley stop is right outside of the hotel. I can't remember the cost but I think it’s just a few bucks. Enjoy the Blues! more

The first two nights we stayed in Memphis were the cheapest places we could find. Both were fine and we felt safe (a lady at the airport had us afraid because Memphis is apparently so dangerous.) Both rooms we stayed at different hotels each had a mini fridge, microwave, and free internet. When we got to the Marriott, we opened... more

A group of girlfriends and I recently stayed at the Downtown Memphis Mariott while we ate and kicked up our heels in Memphis. We had rooms on the 17th floor, and the views of the city and the river are great from up there. Check-in was a little bumpy at first. (The elevators were temporarily on the fritz, AND the... more

We liked this hotel! We stayed here for two nights and made use of the pool, restaurant and bar during our stay. It was easy to find and check-in was smooth. The pool area was perhaps a little dated but it did provide a welcome relief from the (so we were told) exceptional heat for the time of year. All... more

OK hotel quite reasonale rates but needs a facelift. Good location and Memphis Tram stop being outside is a godsend. Rooms ok, breakfast area & Bar very bland and swimming Pool area a complete waste of space and very dated, I though I was in the Ukraine for a few minutes when I saw the pool area. Easy to find... more

My wife, two year old son and I were concluding our road trip by staying 2 nights at the Downtown Marriott. Location off the freeway was easy to find. Valet parking and luggage handling was a joy after 6 hours of driving. Check in was smooth. Room, well, it was tiny. King bed with the wonderful revive sheets and comfy... more

We just attended a conference @ the Memphis Marriott downtown, March 26 - 30, 2008. The hotel was full or nearly full and the staff was probably a little stressed out because of this but I did not have one single encounter with anyone that worked at this hotel that was anything but professional and friendly. The staff at the... more

This was a nice hotel, well located on the trolley line. However, it was very expensive and they charge for internet both in room and in the business center--outrageous this day an age. Some great things were free laundry and a nice fitness center and pool. The parking was very expensive, too. more
