We decided to take a late autumn break and researched suitable places on the internet. We came upon this hotel which seemed to offer the location and sort of hotel we were seeking and booked for an all inclusive stay of 4 nights. We are so pleased that we did. Criccieth in November proved to be a quiet and very... more

After visiting Portmerion for the day we spontaneously checked into the Caerwylan Hotel as a "let's just stay in town for the night", rather than go home. (No opportunity to surf Trip Advisor for info on local hotels) Prior to giving the receptionist my details for registration I asked to see the room, due to the tired and tardy condition... more

We had a very comfortable 1 night stay at the Caerwylan Hotel. We found room 33 (castle view) to be spacious, spotless and well appointed with a very comfortable double bed. The all new matching furniture included dressing table, coffee table, complementary tray table, bedside cabinets and 2 comfortable armed chairs. This furniture incorporated around 14 drawers plus 10 hangers... more

On entering the hotel, you do notice a bit of a smell in the public areas and the lounge and bar area do appear tired – and need some updating. Reception welcome was OK, although the girl sounded like she was reading a script to us about breakfast and dinner times and routines.. She took us to our room which... more

A delight to stay at a hotel where the owners are spending money on improving the hotel. We had one of the sea facing Executive Rooms. Web site described the view as "wow" and it was! Room refurbished to a high standard, bed very comfy and room was spotlessly clean (as was the whole hotel). Food was good and dinner... more

We stayed here for a friends wedding , in fact most of the hotel had been booked by the wedding guests and party. The bedrooms were all very well decorated, nice and modern feel to them and good quality furniture - our room No 38 had fab views over the Bay and you could see the Castle, although slightly compact... more

Booked in for one night. The staff were extremely helpful and showed us the 2 rooms they had available. Unfortunately there were no executive rooms available but both the standard rooms were newly refurbished and individually decorated to a really high standard. The bathrooms were new and spotless. We didn't use the lounge or bar area but both looked clean.... more

We found this gem by chance. King room on first floor with view of beach & castle. Room & bathroom in new condition. Hotel has lift which is important to us. Breakfast & Dinner were superb. We had to find a doctor - the lady on the front desk was so helpful. Made a recommendation and then she called the... more

We stayed here on Saturday 27th June for one night, an impromptu weekend getaway to the beach to chill out. Cricceth itself is lovely and quaint, a nice little seaside village. We found this hotel on the net, checked Trip Advisor first, saw mixed reviews, but the pictures of the hotel looked nice so we took a chance. On arrival... more

We were only here for one night but had a lovely room with a fabulous view out to sea. It was all newly decorated to a good standard. The manager and all evening staff were excellent as was the evening meal which was superb value. The only downfall staffwise was breakfast but hopefully the manager will now have sorted that... more
