We stayed 2 nights in the Caerwylan Hotel whilst on a short golfing break to North Wales. It does front onto the pleasant beach and inside has been newly renovated\ decorated and is quite nice, although (as ever) don't expect big City Centre style. The breakfast was a mixture of cold food (cereals, fruit juices, fruit etc.) and well cooked... More

We stayed as part of a large party and cannot fault it. A nice room at the back [overlooks railway line but trains not frequent] with good bed and bathroom with power shower. The hotel explains that it had recently fully refurbished the whole hotel after under investment. The breakfasts were good and the group's food in the restaurant was... More

We have just spent three fabulous nights at the Caerwylan and every member of the team there did everything they could to make us feel so welcome. The entire team are so friendly, I cannot praise them too highly. The hotel is an absolute gem, with the contemporary stylish decor refurbishment that has been undertaken blending effortless with the traditional... More

We stayed 4 nights in this nice, perfectly situated hotel. We played golf on 6 different courses around Criccieth, the distance to the courses was just good. It was nice to see also the surrounding area. The view from the lobby is so beautiful and service couldnt be better. The food in the hotel was very good but we also... More

We stayed at this hotel at the end of April with friends and were pleasantly surprised at the view over the bay from the lounge. The hotel is well positioned for visiting local places of interest. Our room, room 22, was very clean and had a view of Criccieth Castle and a side view of the sea. We were grateful... More

We had a lovely break @ the Caerwylan, our stay was unavoidably curtailed but we will definitely return @ the earliest possibility. We had a very comfortable room with a superb view of the sea. The food was excellent & the owners & staff made us very welcome & were constantly concerned that our stay was enjoyable

Just spent a 2 night stay through Groupon at this hotel and the position and views are amazing. Having read some of the previous reviews we weren't sure what to expect but we had a lovely stay. We travelled with friends and had rooms next to each other. They were totally different but clean and comfortable. My only comment would... More

Recently stayed through Groupon and we just cannot speak highly enough of the hotel, location, views, staff, our room (rooms vary so it is worth some effort to get it right), breakfast and dinner. Without doubt we will be back!

My husband and I stayed in this wonderful hotel on Good Friday 2013. We arrived and were actually escorted to our room which has not often happened. The views from Room 37 were breathtaking! The castle to the right, the sea straight ahead, and snow-covered mountains to the left. We spent a relaxing, chilly evening with a bottle of wine,... More

The Caerwylan can only come highly recommended! Everything has been so thoughtfully done. The rooms are beautifully refurbished and spotlessly clean. The rooms and bathrooms have everything you could need. Plenty of storage, good lighting, hooks and mirrors - so often forgotten about. Warm and cosy. The public rooms are gorgeous too. The chef needs complementing because the breakfasts were... More
