Good points - lovely young staff in bar and restaurant. Leaving!! Bad points - Our room (Aslan!!!) had a bed too big for the room, peeling paint on windows, no hairdryer, no shower and although the furniture was not too bad the carpets and paint were shabby. I asked for a hairdryer to use but they didn't have one. I... more

Stayed with my husband for 2 nights DBB. Staff welcoming and informative about the area. Nice walk to see church after which the village takes the first part of its name, and the bridge. Room clean and pleasant with all the necessary features including hairdrier and toiletries. Temperature pleasant. Bed and chairs were comfortable which is important when you have... more

I am writing this review in reponse to the 2 reviews posted in connection with the wedding in May 2008. I was also a guest at this wedding and must strongly disagree with the comments made. First of all the wedding meal was fantastic and the dining room looked beautiful. The meal was thoroughly enjoyed by all I'd say and... more

This was our third visit to the Careg Mon and will definately not be our last. We had a double room with an ajoining twin room for our grand children. Both rooms were very clean and pleasantly decorated. Bathrooms very well equipped having bath with overhead shower - perfectly adequote. We have not had dinner at the hotel but found... more

I live localy to the Carreg Mon and went to a close friends wedding at the venue (if you can call it that) My husband was the best man. I feel so sorry for the bride and groom as their day was tainted by the poor service. I'm not sure if the last review of this hotel was for the... more

I was planning on writing a nice review as the hotel was booked to provide post funeral refreshments (the serving staff on the day were all very nice and helpful). Deposit had been settled immediately on booking, and post the few hour sandwich/afternoon tea (which was lacking a little love...) we went to pay and my mother had forgotten her... more

Stayed 2 nights. Rooms renovations seem to have been done on the cheap. In the rooms we saw you could either have a bath OR a shower but not both. It wouldn't have harmed to have a least a mixer tap system on the baths so you could at least do your Hair. Sitting in the bath you a a... more

Easy -to-find location with nice sun-facing bar terrace and well kept garden. Good car park right in front of the hotel. Very good bar range of beers (Hurrah for Wadworth's 6X) and plentiful food. Convenient for Caernarvon, Anglesey and Snowdonia. Friendly young staff. Clear and tidy room but fittings a bit dated - 1970's (?) - and bed rather hard!... more
