My wife and I had evening dinner there last night. The difference from the awful place it had become was quite amazing. Firstly the potholed old car park had been completely redone. Inside the furnishings were either new or refurbished. The dining room beautifully made up with proper tablecloths. As for the food. It was just about perfection. We both... More

Four of us called in the evening meal - not expecting much but were very impressed with the service we received from the staff, very welcoming. Food well presented, steak could have been a bit hotter but nevertheless tasty, good value for money. I would have no hesitation in recommending the hotel for any function. Hoping to go back later... My boyfriend and I stayed at 'The Bull' when we were rallying on Anglesey Circuit in February. We had read the reviews and I was a little worried but we went anyway thinking it can't be that bad. Downstairs was packed when we got there as Wales had just won at Rugby - this we didn't mind as the atmosphere... More

live locally and have followed the mixed fortunes of this pub/hotel, the new people seem to be the ones who run the waterfront in Trearddur Bay. I went to the bull last night for a few drinks, they are having entertainment nights which is showing they are trying but have to say he was awful hope they up the ante... More

I have not stayed here but I am a local. I agree with all the bad reviews but would like to say a few words in favour of the couple who are managing it at the moment. The pub side has had a makeover and is nice, comfortable and clean, the food looks good (going to try it this next... More

Stayed at the Bull before and the food and accommodation was good. Went back expecting the same but the food was not up to a four star standard and the pub was shabby and needed cleaning. Do not stay in Room 1, there is a four poster bed but it is so hard you may as well sleep on the... More

Have not stayed here as a resident but went for an early-evening meal in the public area. The tables were dirty and sticky and were in need of a good clean,as did the dusty window ledges. There were some upholstered chairs and a couple of these were very grubby indeed,my dog's bedding is cleaner ! Ladies toilets not very inviting either.... More

Didn't stay there as resident, but used the public house part of the hotel. Went in the evening for a meal, tables were still dirty and sticky from the daytime meals. Complained to the staff but was completely ignored. Another one for my list of 'places not to stay'.
