This really is an ideal place to stay for walking / cycling / sightseeing in North Wales. Catherine does a great job and the 4star rating is more than justified. We would certainly recommend the evening meal - the breakfasts can't be faulted either. More

Beautifully refurbished to a very high standard, Its a shame there are no pictures of the bathrooms! ours was lovely very bright, modern, whiter than white towels and spotless!!! Catherine was very attentive and the breakfast was great and we had home grown grapes with the fruit, local free range eggs (we saw the chickens down the road) and locally... More

We have just left beautiful Clocaenog and the lovely Old Rectory and great host Catherine. We stayed three nights in the comfortable, fresh and cosy double bed room. The evening meal was great as was the perfectly cooked breakfast. Catherine has a keen interest in the countryside and was able to recommend walks to suit our ability and provide the... More

My husband and I stayed here for five nights (last night was our final night there, but I enjoyed it that much I thought I'd review it straight away). Catherine was a wonderful host-as soon as we stepped through the door she offered us tea and a slice of her wonderful chocolate cake. She recommended us to a lovely pub... More

We stayed at Carherine's B&B last weekend and couldn't have asked for more! Her house is stunning and spotlessly clean, she was the perfect host and couldn't have done more for us during our stay (including getting up at 5am to make our breakfast on Sunday!!!!). Seriously, just book it, you won't regret it! More

This was a beautiful and immaculately clean place to stay. My adult daughter and I stayed in the twin room at the front of the house. The room was perfect and the ensuite bathroom was a high standard. Breakfast was delightful. We also ordered dinner and were very pleased with the tasty homemade meal we were offered. Catherine was an... More

My father and I stayed for three nights in late July and were very impressed with the quality of the rooms and the location of the Old Rectory. Catherine & Michael have done a splendid job in decorating and fitting out the rooms . . . and they're lovely people too ! Highly recommended. More

A gem within a very rural community ! Catherine Parton was able to offer to cater for evening meals for our three couples. She also holds a stock of quite acceptable wines from which to choose. We dined well on our three night stay. A pleasant and very friendly pub just over a mile away. Recommended by Mike Lewis More

Very hospitable, excellent facilities and food. Situated in a lovely area convenient for Snowdonia National Park. Local roads need a little care. Highly recommended. More

We stayed at The Old Rectory for a short break of Three days. Catherine our host was fantastic and nothing was too much trouble. We enjoy mountain biking and found that the location was ideal, with trails all within easy reach. There was somewhere where we could store our bikes if we wanted to go elsewhere for the day.The accomodation was...
