Went here on a Groupon deal for food. A large and varied choice of tapas dishes on offer. Each freshly and expertly cooked to order. The food was delicious. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The surroundings were comfortable and relaxing. Top marks on all fronts! Would definately recommend and will be returning in the future.

This is a relatively new B and B in a VERY old setting. The house dates from about 1550 and has been many things over the years including a Public House. It is still a Public House with a tiny bar and a comfortable Lounge, with a restaurant which serves (oddly enough) Spanish Tapas. Set in Ruthin, right across from... More

Just stayed over the Bank Holiday and must say we were very impressed. Staff could not do enough even though they were extremely busy. Food first class and would stay here again in a heart beat. Great base for exploring with many places close by.

Stayed at this B&B over a Friday and Saturday nights and was pleasantly surprised by the quality and charm of the room. The staff were all very friendly and accommodating and the quality of food served for breakfast very good. We also ate there on the Friday evening and again found the quality of the food to be very high.... More

Very welcoming, all staff were nice and friendly.. Our room was very nice, lovely decor and comfortable bed. Loved the additional touch of old comics in the room. Very unique. We were allowed to check out as late as we wanted, and we were also allowed a late breakfast which suited us better. Breakfast was very very nice. Unfortunately we... More

Stayed here on a Saturday night, we had a Spa day booked at Ruthin Castle which was only a 10 minute walk away. We had a Tapas meal here in the evening and it was gorgeous, staff were very friendly and could not do enough for you. Owner was very accommodating and allowed us to have a late breakfast and... Comfortable double room in 16th century hostelry.. Very welcoming staff and owner. Excellent Tapas restaurant with very varied menu and reasonable prices. I shall certainly book there again. Off road parking in very convenient location.

A local pub not serving food recommended The Morning Star to us and even dropped us off here. The ambience of the pub was not at all what we thought it would be before we went inside. It was really oldie worldie and the staff were very friendly and welcoming. They literally couldn't do enough for us. We had the... More

Stayed for business for 4 nights; I was working very unsociable hours and coming in around 4am. Very accomodating staff, allowed me to have very late breakfast due to late finish at work, had keys to the property to let myself in and out at whatever time I pleased. Super friendly staff and clientele; excellent food, wonderful old pub atmosphere.... More

Not sure if it is still called The Morning Star but we just had a meal and a few pints in this wonderful pub in Ruthin. What a lovely suprise, great beer and tasty food and all in front of an open fire. If we lived in Ruthin this would definately be our 'local'. Keep up the good work and... More
