The latest alternative to the Hilton Newport is a new build budget hotel, Hampton Newport a good 20 mins drive from Newport just before the Severn Bridge. Same standards as you'd find in a Holiday Inn Express brand that has only been operating. Nightly rates appear pricier on average than the Hilton Newport and the breakfast is a basic buffet.... More

Location of the Hotel is in the middle of nowhere, off the M4 motorway, though very convenient if you travelling to Cardiff :) but we had lovely views on motorway and fields. This was our second stay at this hotel. Bedroom and bathroom were spotless. Convenient to the M4 motorway, plenty of parking. Spacious reception. Didn't try the evening meal. Had a full breakfast in the morning, plenty of choice to suit all. Plates for the cooked breakfast were small, but you can always return for second helpings.

This was a fantastic price and easy to call in at on the way to Cardiff for the Speedway Grand Prix. I would certainly advise people to check it out. To also receive a complimentary breakfast for 3 adults all at the incredible price of £66.36. Rooms were adequate for an overnight stay, and looked new and well kept

Would highly recommend this hotel for service, staff friendliness and cleanliness, we were going to speedway at Millenium Stadium in Cardiff and found and was ideal distance just to take car in and park in morning and go to venue and return in the evening with no problems on the roads
