I stayed at Allenbrook with my partner during the course of a walking holiday along the Pembrokeshire coast path. This was the nicest of all of the venues we stayed at, and have already highly recommended to friends and family.
Allenbrook is not a chic/boutique hotel, it is a house (a large house) that is lived in, and as such as a lovely warm and hospitable feel to it. The whole house is furnished in a way that oozes class but very understated. The rooms are very spacious, bright, and the decorations are classic.
Want to shower? Afraid not, so take the opportunity instead to soak in a massive victorian ceramic tub, then relax in your four-poster bed, or sit by the large sash windows overlooking the gardens (occupied by free roaming peacocks). Think I'm joking?
At breakfast, enjoy full silver service with freshly cooked breakfast on an enormous oak dinner table, in a long wood-pannelled dining room, with fine paintings of game birds on the wall, and more...
