Awww, I really want to give the dru a better rating! The Druidstone is about kicking back and relaxing, about conviviality and enjoying the seaside. It's scruffy and informal and even the smelliest, muddiest dog is welcome. Sadly the prices for the food and the rooms no longer reflect the laid back atmosphere. The rooms are waaay overpriced (see another... more

Some of the less favourable comments listed on Trip Advisor are true, yet the utterly miss the heartbeat of an extraordinary place. Virtually 100% occupancy for much of the year, many many regulars who have been going for 10, 20 even 30 years. Almost all guests have been going for 5 plus years. So clearly the Dru crew do something... more

We booked the Druidstone as part of a family trip to West Wales, with the restaurant having been recommended by a previous visitor. I can only assume that major changes have taken place this year, as the venue bore no resemblance to that described so appealingly in the Good Food Guide. Quaint would be kind...in need of significant 'freshening up'... more

My partner (now husband) and I stayed at the Druidstone guest house for four days over Easter 1999 while spending a year in Taunton, Somerset. We stayed in one for the family rooms and used the communal bathrooms. I remember the weather was pretty foul from start to finish but we managed to get out and do some great walks... more

I was recommended this hotel for my wedding venue, I researched it on the Web and thought it would be perfect as the location was great.. I tried to book a wedding for 2010 and to book a weekend for 6 of us to formalise the arrangements. It was a nightmare. I even got as far as booking the registrar... more

The location of The Druidstone is fantastic - overlooking an unspolit bay in the huge sweep of St Bride's Bay. That's as good as it gets, though. The room we stayed in overlooked the bay, but along with the rest of the hotel it had the feel of a slightly run-down hostel rather than a hotel costing £140 per night.... more

The Druidstone is a very unique place and definately not for someone looking for a luxury hotel in pembrokshire. I have been coming to Druidstone with my family for nearly 19 years now, (they have been coming near on 30 yrs!!) and i feel Druidstone is like my second home. The hotel is in the midddle of nowhere, looking right... more

We had wanted to stay here for several years, having heard about its funky atmosphere, its regular artistic visitors, and its coastal location - but what a disappointment! The location is fabulous indeed but..... Food mediocre. Musty smell on opening the front door and grubby common parts. Lack of welcome on arrival, no information, haughty owners. Top floor room with... more

Druidstone sits at the edge of the cliff overlooking the most wonderful views. Once you've experienced the beauty and solitude of this part of Pembrokeshire you'll always yearn to return. Druidstone Hotel has converted several of its outbuildings into self catering cottages, all are basic, but well eqipped and very comfortable. I've rented one of these for about 10 years,... more
