The hotel outside looks very pleasant and you enter passed a modern looking restaurant, going by the traditional looking bar, through an unpainted narrow door to the reception desk. Greeted by Sally, the very friendly proprietor.
Onwards into a very dark corridor to find my room; first impression very dark with an unusual PVC clad ceiling. The window had obscure glass and opened onto a sevice yard which I later found was the outdoor smoking area when it began to waft into my room!
There was a small ensuite shower room with a very good power shower. The vanity unit being made of glass (including the bowl) was probably an unfortunate choice as the clear silicon seal was beginning to show signs of mould. The whole bathroom was let down by by UPV ceiling and comletely plasic clad walls - not a tile in sight.
Every thing in the room was clean and was well provided for - tea tray, including biscuits, mineral water, tv, dvd etc.
Had a meal and pleasant...
