We stayed for one night and paid $99 excl. tax. Our room was a large wheelchair accessible unit on the first floor. We were concerned about the noise from the reception but it was not an issue at all. The staff was extremely polite, friendly and helpful. The room was rather spartan but with a vaulted ceiling. The indoor swimming pool was clean, spacious enough but needed a little more cooling on that hot day. There were enough pool towels. The internet was high speed. The complimentary breakfast was abundant, tasty, with a choice of warm and cold fare and overall better than Best Western, Hampton Inn, while on par with Drury Inns.
We are noticing a new trend among Holiday Inn Express hotels: there are many new ones popping up everywhere, the old ones are being upgraded, the staff is more friendly, all giving an impression that the chain is clearly on the upswing after a decade of more of decline.
