This was our first experience of a holiday cottage and it was absolutely superb throughout. We stopped in Bwthyn Gwe and it was fabulously appointed with quality appliances including a Miele dishwasher & Rayburn Cooker and a fantastic log burner which we used each evening whilst watching Netflix on TV. The kitchen was stocked with everything you could possibly need, even spare caddy bags and extra glassware; there was even complementary milk and Welsh cakes which really helped to make us feel at home. Upstairs, there is a super comfy bed and a well appointed bathroom with shower and bath (great for a soak after a long walk on the lovely Newgale & Whitesands beaches that are nearby). A special mention must go to Dawn, the lady who looks after the cottages and answers any questions you may have on a day to day basis - she even popping in one night to check all was well following a power cut - now how’s that for service! Should you not fancy eating in each night there are 2 pubs within a 2-3 minute walk, an excellent Indian takeaway and fish & chip shop and even take away pizza! All you will ever need when you stop in St. Davids! Karen & I cannot recommend this cottage and its location high enough and we are already planning a return visit next year!…

I really cannot praise this lovely cottage highly enough - what an absolute gem right in the town! We parked our car and never used it again till we were ready to go home. Spotlessly clean accommodation, unbelievably comfy beds (no good having a week away from home sleeping on an uncomfortable mattress!), beautiful bed linen, high spec appliances including dishwasher, washing machine and a drier. Plenty of crockery and cutlery. Three bathrooms and a study, lovely big kitchen and a good sized lounge with wood burning stove. The weather was gorgeous so we didn’t need to use the wood burner but it would have been lovely if we had. Our party was two couples and we had more than enough room for us. Views over the cathedral so you heard the bells but they were not intrusive. Hamish was so helpful when our holiday was initially moved due to Covid restrictions. We didn’t want to go home it was that good. We will be back! Thank you also to Dawn who keeps the place so clean and tidy. …

Just returned from 4 days in St. Davids. My wife and I had the pleasure of staying in Bwthyn Gwe. As soon as we arrived at the cottage we knew we were in for a treat. The cottage is beautifully furnished, well equipped and had a lovely Rayburn cooker and wood burning stove to keep us warm. The cottage is in a secluded courtyard with views over the Cathedral. We enjoyed visiting the local pubs and cafes which were a short walk from the cottage. The Pembrokeshire Coast Path is nearby and we enjoyed some lovely walks with views over Ramsey Island. We will definitely book again.

St Davids is one of my favourite places in the UK, and staying at Ty Gwilym over the past 8 years is definitely one of the main reasons. The cottages themselves are excellent, a great size, wonderfully decorated and well furnished with premium appliances and kitchenware. They're clearly look after well too, they always look fresh. The garden is delightful, especially in the summer, and the free off-street parking is a great bonus. The location is the icing on the cake... right in the middle of St Davids within easy walk of... everywhere... but with the most stunning views over the Cathedral and surrounding countryside! I wouldn't consider staying anywhere else!

My husband and I spent a fantastic week in our preferred home from home, Bwthyn Gwe - this being our third or fourth visit, we feel like regulars now and wouldn't choose any other self catering property unless forced! (Although of course one of the other Ty Gwilym properties could be possibilities!) It is a little gem of a cottage tucked away down Goat Street, complete with courtyard parking and a lovely shared garden which overlooks the Cathedral. The interior is warm (when it needs to be), comfortable and well equpped. Everything for your comfort is well chosen, the bed is extremely comfortable and the place is spotless, kept so by the local "representative" Dawn. We love it and have booked again already for next year, so as not to be gazumped! Go there if you can.

We all had a fabulous holiday made even more enjoyable by the really lovely and comfortable house we called home for the week . It was a delight to walk into such a welcoming house after our long journey . The kitchen was very well equipped,( Welsh cakes awaiting on our arrival) the bedrooms were comfortable .....amazing nights sleep in luxurious cotton bedding. The lounge was so cosy when we lit the log burner after a days hiking along the cliffs . We were delighted when we returned after a walk one day to find more logs had been placed in the outhouse after it had appeared empty that morning . The house itself is perfectly placed for walking from the door or jumping on a local bus . We hardly used our cars all week . In the warmer months I'm sure the garden would be our choice to eat our evening meal or sit out and enjoy breakfast before heading out for the day . All in all we wouldn't hesitate to recommend this holiday home to anyone and if we were ever to return to St Davids this would be our choice every time . …

Ty Gwilym is a very comfortable, well maintained and spotlessly clean cottage right in the heart of St.Davids. The cottage has three tastefully decorated bedrooms with wonderfully comfortable beds. It also has a study upstairs which in our recent stay we used as another bedroom for our 2 year old granddaughter in a camping cot, which worked very well. The kitchen is a good size, well equipped and all items are of a high spec. The shared garden is like an oasis - peaceful and beautifully kept. If you happen to be a cyclist, it is very handy as there is a shed to keep your bike in. The cottage is well situated for exploring this area of Pembrokeshire. We took some lovely walks and cycle rides right from the doorstep of the cottage. This is a perfect cottage for couples and families what ever time of the year.…

My husband and I stayed at The Boathouse for 4 nights with our 9 month old daughter last week. On arrival at the cottage, I was pleasantly surprised by the size of the rooms (bigger than I expected!) and there were lots of little details to make our stay as comfortable as possible, not least the homemade cake! The property was newly renovated to a really nice standard, had more than everything we needed and the super comfy bed and lovely terraces were an added bonus. Travelling with a small child the garage was also really useful to be able to properly unload and pack up. It was my first visit to St. Davids and we will certainly be back. Some great restaurants and shops in the village and easy access to some beautiful walks. Really look forward to returning, and hopefully to The Boathouse.…

We stayed at Ty Gwilym for a week at Easter. Situated on a side road in St David's itself this property is more of a town house than cottage. An easy walk to the shops and restaurants and very close to the cathedral it is ideally placed. Downstairs there is a very comfy lounge and separate dining kitchen with every mod con. The three bedrooms upstairs are all doubles, very tastefully decorated, one having a good sized en-suite shower room. The family bathroom has a separate great walk in shower and there is yet another shower room downstairs...perfect for a female dominated family. Off the landing is a small room which has been made into a study area, ideal for a teenager with exam stress. Wi Fi works well throughout although mobile signal varied. Although the house is close to the town centre we were not disturbed by noise even though there is a pub a few doors down. There are superb walks to be had from the doorstep with lovely beaches a short drive away. I expect it gets very congested in the Summer though as roads are narrow and windy. Although part of a courtyard with three properties Ty Gwilym feels quite private, although you may need to negotiate with your neighbours about how best to arrange your cars. Entrance to the courtyard is challenging to begin with (very narrow) but we managed all week without scraping our estate. The two other cottages in the courtyard are smaller but appear equally attractive. Having never been to this part of Wales we would thoroughly recommend Pembrokeshire and St David's in particular, and Ty Gwilym makes an ideal holiday home.…
