The hotel is clean and well looked after, the staff are cheerful and helpful, food is excellent. Well located in the centre of St.Davids so good for touring Pembrokeshire and only 30 minutes from Fishguard if you need the ferry to/from Ireland. more

A really great hotel. We recently spent four nights at the Old Cross Hotel, and thoroughly enjoyed our visit. Our room was comfortable and spotlessly clean, and we both slept very well all the nights we were there. We took our meals in the bar, and the food was superb. An excellent choice on the menu, wonderfully presented and extremely... more

We stayed at the Old Cross from 2nd to 5th of July. This was our first time visit to St. Davids to see a friend of us. There are so many comments about the hotel needs updating. I was bit concerned about the quality of the accommodations. It turned out the hotel is not too bad. Like any converted accommodation,... more

The location couldn't be faulted...right in the middle of the tiniest city in the UK, the beautiful St Davids. From the hotel you can walk to the pub (and I mean 'the'), the supermarket, the bus for the beach, the charming coffeehouse filled town, the lovely catherdral, any number of cliff paths and stunning Pembrokeshire locations. The room was spotless,... more

On this trip, I stayed for 5 days mid-June 2009. Always a warm welcome, great breakfasts and wonderful service. The location is excellent in the small city of St. David's but so close to history, castles & beaches. Roger. more

The hotel is the perfect location if you want to visit St Davids and the surrounding area. Just a 10-15 minute walk takes you to the coastal path with superb views of the sea. At the front of the hotel is an attractive beer garden with tables/chairs on grass with lots of shrubs and flowers, a perfect place for a... more

Stayed 2 nights in April 2008, what a lovely place! I had a double room to myself, a gorgeous bathroom with an enormous radiator and the nice thing was that I could control the radiators myself. The breakfasts were good as were the evening meals. I had the local beef and lamb plus puddings and wine. Superb. In fact, this... more

the title of the review came from one of the local shop owners! clean, mostly friendly/attentive staff-just one odd one. A bit tired though (decor, furniture). Food basic and not overly generous (breakfast), evening meals in the bar ok (but beware ordering a roast dinner..they came with mustard mashed potatoe..ugh-no one in the bar ate it)!, and the restaurant menu... more

Just returned from a visit to The Old Cross Hotel. Food is excellent and we have never stayed anywhere with such a plentiful supply of hot water. Very friendly and relaxed atmosphere. Rooms apparently are being upgraded and we have booked again for November 09. more
