A family reunion to celebrate a 70th birthday. We could not have found better accomodation or more attentive hosts than Pat and David. Breakfast is a pleasure, nothing is too much trouble, the rooms are first class and your own access is a bonus especially if you are late returning. Many thanks. Rita and Pete. Nottingham. More

Probably the best B&B accommodation we have stayed at, a truly 4*experience! Our hosts Pat and David were considerate, kind and welcoming and were keen to make our stay as enjoyable as possible. The purpose built accommodation was decorated in a tasteful modern style, giving it a light and airy feel and was spotlessly clean. We particularly liked the quality... More

My husband and I spent 2 nights at Earl House over Easter. Pat & David made our stay warm and welcoming. Breakfast was excellent with very relaxing background music and best of all, we met a lovely couple who stayed there also and were regular visitors. We felt at home. Nice pubs and small shops. Very neat and quiet town.... More

The large, en-suite rooms are accessed by a private exterior entrance, but they give out onto a delightful sunroom and lovely garden. Breakfasts are as hearty as you desire. Pat and David are unobtrusive hosts, but exceptionally helpful with information about restaurants, walks and the general area of pleasant Machynlleth. And Smoky, a fine dog, will play fetch and frisbee... More

We stayed for the final night of a four day mountain bike trip across mid Wales. The room and en-suite were clean, spacious and comfortable and we were made to feel very welcome. The breakfast was also very good (the best of the trip). Would definately stay here again. More

We stayed at Eryl House B&B for a long weekend in August 2007. It was a comfortable and friendly B&B. The hosts, David and Pat make you very welcome. The rooms are only a couple of years old and are in an extension at the back of the house. The guest accommodation is self-contained and you have your own door... More

This B and B a few minutes walk from the town centre is very clean, with attractive decor and good quality furniture, and serves a great breakfast. The rooms have the advantage of being directly accessible from the outside, so you don't have to go through the owners' house. It's small and friendly, with just two twin rooms. My only... More
