Arrived at the hotel and we were sorted out with our room which was a chalet outside the hotel with a nice room and jacuzzi bath. The hotel has a lot of history with dating back to 1616. There is a lot of character in the main building which in itself has changed over the years. It is well maintained,... More

Went to this pub when in Wales. Food was superb, didn't wait hours for it, value for money was excellent. Staff could not have been friendlier. Portion size was on the larger size. All had something different. Started came followed swiftly by main. Excellent place.

After a gruelling 47 mile bike ride, my husband and I were so happy when we saw the hotel and a young gentleman waiting outside to welcome us. He explained that there had been a little problem with the heating in the hotel bedrooms "but would one of our garden rooms be okay for you?" I assumed this was a... More

We stayed in a cottage in Presteigne for a week in March and did several forest and ridge walks in the beautiful country side stradling the England & Wales border. What a lovely town Presteigne is. Our stay was made all the better when we tried the Radnorshire Arms for a drink and evening meal. We were made to feel... More

We celebrated my wife's Diamond wedding anniversary at the Radnorshire Arms and we received exceptional service. The hotel set aside a separate room for Sunday lunch. The room was warm which was crucial for a cold February day with a number of octogenarians in attendance! The manager was extremely helpful and catered at very short notice for changes in menu... Called in on the way to bryn glas and the site of the battlefield brought into phil rickman latest novel about John Dee. Both are well worth encompassing! The food was pub lunch standard, perhaps a little more expensive than others in the locale but very welcome after a drive towards the border. Good standard fare was delivered and we... More

Stayed here for a weekend and found the rooms to be lovely with lots of history. Great staff (if a little overworked) Ideally situated for horseriding nearby. Very nice substantial food and a lovely touch of the history of the hotel available to read in the room. Would definately stay here again.

My husband, baby son and I had a wonderful time at the Radnorshire. We stayed two nights and stayed in room 6 which was spacious, bright and very pleasant. The residents' lounge was large and comfortable with a library. The hotel is full of character, retaining its olde worlde charm but providing all mod cons. Staff are wonderful and very... More

Had dinner here yesterday, beef curry it was dreadful large tough chunks of meat and there was no curry taste at all. The chef! had obviously not tested the food at all. I have eaten here several times over the last few years and the food is consistently poor. I think it is time to admit defeat and eat elsewhere.... More

Good food. Very clean nice rooms. Very friendly staff who appeared to work very hard! Great atmosphere. Enjoyed the pizza and sunday lunch menu. Good base to visit Spaceguard centre and Mid Wales generally.
