Stayed for a few nights in December. Lovely views of the harbour from the balcony. Room spotless and superbly equipped with all you need to make your stay comfortable. Lovely breakfast with home made ingredients. Superb hosts - a home from home (but being holiday, better).

An Oasis in the City is in Sydney's historical suburb of Balmain and offers bed & breakfast accommodation. Situated in a quiet street, Balmain is on the Harbour, just a ferry ride away from the CBD. The accommodation is a short walk away from Balmain's vibrant pub, cafe and restaurant scene. Balmain is also well-known for its unique shopping strip and its Saturday market. There are many parks nearby, most on the shores of Sydney Harbour. We are dog-friendly, and well-trained dogs are allowed in the room. There are two dog-walking parks very close to our property, and in summer many dogs enjoy a harbour swim at the bottom of our street. The city can be reached by ferries: either to Circular Quay or Darling Harbour, or by bus- the bus stop is at the top of the street. (2 minutes walk). This will take you to the Queen Victoria Building, right in the centre of Sydney's shopping district. Balmain is a quiet, friendly suburb with a relaxing village atmosphere.
