My partner and I stayed for 2 nights for our anniversary. The accommodation rooms were compact but very fresh and comfortable (the staff told us they had just been upgraded). We had a lovely time sunning ourselves by the pool overlooking the water and enjoyed some sunset drinks at the Newport Arms Hotel (right next door)..what a fantastic spot! more

We stayed at the Newport Mirage as we attended a wedding reception there. The reception was trully amazing and the food and service fantasic. Whilst the accommodation was not overly extravagent, it was very clean and comfortable. I booked at the Newport Mirage as I had a wedding at the Newport Arms. I then read some reviews below and was a bit nervous. Boy was I pleasently surprised, as was my wife!!! Terrible, noisy till after 2am with doors slamming and people talking. I think we heard everyone on our floor flush toilets and have showers. It was incredible how load it was..The staff are not friendly. they only ask the questions they need to. No hows your day going, nothing. The rooms are drab and boring. Will not be back... more

Overall our stay at Newport Mirage was not extremely bad, its just that it wasn't that good for the price. The rooms are quite sparse and just plain feeling, and the hallways etc to get to the rooms are a little claustrophobic. Average Accommodation - very overpriced. The whole place needs a serious reno. Doesn't look a thing like on the website! Resembled a run down 3 star motel.
