Richard is a very friendly and welcoming host, astute to the needs of his guests. Roseneath is centrally located in Point Lonsdale. It is a spacious B&B with a very English "feeling" (from our UK experience/point of view), with a pretty and beautifully maintained private garden. The generous amenities (including a vast variety of teas and coffee) are available all... More

We booked late in the day on our way over on the ferry and arrived 20 mins later, but it was no problem for our lovely hosts Richard & Diane. A private entrance through the manicured garden and bbq area leading to french doors opening to the most beautifully furnished room with massive open fireplace, open stairway to bedrooms and... More

I have stayed in B&Bs and self-contained accommodations in London, Wales, Perth and now, Melbourne. I must say that Roseneath B&B truly lives up to the reviews you read in Tripadvisor and elsewhere. Seriously, its own website doesn't do justice to what it actually offers. You need to step inside to see the love and dedication put into the place,... More

There are good B&Bs and then there is Roseneath.....we found Roseneath Villa to be a perfect combination of a B&B and a fully equiped holiday apartment. The accomodation is in a private wing of the home, with its own entry, yard/BBQ/outdoor eating area, dining, lounge, kitchen bedrooms and bathroom. I am often disappointed when travelling with the description kitchenette, where... More

Di and Richard were the perfect hosts. A tour on entry, tips for local eateries and a driveway send-off! Nothing was too much trouble. The property was spotless, comfortable and homely with a delightfully manicured, fully fenced garden. It had an amazing collection of reading material and an an equally extensive tea collection to suit. We chose Roseneath for it's... More

A friend and I caught up in Point Lonsdale for the weekend to spend some time together on a girls weekend. Richard and Di looked after us like Princesses! The accommodation was wonderful and Di's fruit salad more than met up to the high expectations we had before arriving! The gardens are lovely - a testament to Di's hard work,... More

My recent stay at Roseneath Villa began with a wonderful welcome from Richard and Diane. The B and B is most inviting, tastefully decorated, comfortably furnished and spacious. This space was mine alone as only one set of guests is accommodated at each booking. Richard and Diane were friendly and helpful without being intrusive, and the breakfasts, well the breakfasts... We did not ask nor look for anything, it was already there. Loads of different teas and coffee to try. Richard was the perfect host always ensuring you have your needs, but staying out of sight. The little dog Maddie was a treat, but a lush for having her tummy rubbed.

Roseneath was a fantastic B & B, beautifully appointed with everything you could need and a truly wonderful breakfast (you'll never get a better fruit salad). Richard and Diana were so helpful and genuinely friendly. If I ever get back to OZ this is the first place I would book. I slept well, ate well and had a remarkable time... More

We could only stay one night at this lovely place, and right after checkin in we regretted that we could not stay longer. Richard & Diana where just perfect hosts. Right after we arrived late in the evening Richard did some sightseeing with us (Lighthouse, Christmas Tree in town...) and in the morning we took a walk together to a... More
