Holgate Brewhouse is a pub. It is tiny and cozy, just a small bar, with a lounge and a couple of small dining rooms and a function room. There is a nice courtyard dining area too. Internet booking enquiry was followed up very promptly, booking over the phone was done quickly and efficiently. Our room was ready on our arrival, and we were given a quick guided tour of the building before being shown the way to our room. Staff were very friendly and helpful.

The room was huge, sofa bed, small LCD TV on the wall, a fairly comfortable queen size bed (bit firm for my liking, but otherwise ok). Linen was snowy white and clean. The bathroom was interesting - no door so anyone lying on the bed had an interesting show put on for them if allowed to stay :-). Not my cuppa tea! WC had a door though, so there was a little privacy. TV was badly placed, you couldn't see it properly from the bed.
