I stayed at the Courtyard by Marriott whilst attending a conference at Vanderbilt university, which was within easy walking distance. This was my first ever time in America and I was made to feel really welcome and at home. My room was clean, well turned out and had everything I needed, including free wireless internet and the most comfortable bed... more

This was absolutely one of the worst travel experiences of my life. I called the front desk three times to complain about a nearby night club that was keeping me up until 2 am and they offered no solution. I also complained the next morning to the manager, and despite the fact that we are Silver Elite Points members, he... more

The clerk wanted to charge me $15 to park a handicapped van in the handicapped parking. My 84 yr. old mother had to walk from one building to the next, down longs halls, with her walker. The clerk at the front desk said he could not give us a room closer. I was so sorry that I did not book... more

A friend and I brought our daughters for a college visit to Belmont University. From the moment we pulled up, the service was wonderful. Everyone was very friendly and helpful. Valet service cost $16/day but was only $3 more than parking ourselves so we went ahead and did it. All of the valets were respectful and very efficient. They were... more

Although I arrived at this hotel bereaving the passing of my father on the same day, I found this downtown hotel to be the most charming and accomodating of many hotels I've booked and prepared for months in advance. They really went the extra mile for me and graciously extended their sympathies in many more ways than I could ever... more

Everyone that worked there was so very friendly and I do mean Everyone. It was great that they would take the time to talk to you or just to say hello. Southern hospitality. We only stayed there one night, we did not eat there or go to the bar so i can't comment on that. The room was nice, even... more

My wife, infant, and I stayed here on October 10, 2008. I was immediately impressed the minute I pulled in and the valet ran out to the car. The exceptional service continued at check-in and throughout my stay. Everyone is friendly and helpful. The shuttle service was convenient because the driver will take you anywhere. The breakfast buffet was better... more

I have a story about this place that is more fit for fiction. My company chooses where we stay and they are cheap and put us up here. The hotel, they say, is only 8 years old, but it looks much older than that. I always have stays that are not good but not bad either, until my most recent.... more

We stayed here 7/11-7/13/08. I cannot think of anything negative to say. Location is perfect for access to downtown, with many good bars and restaurants within walking distance. Room was great as well as service. more

Walked in at 3am after spending night at the hospital with my daugher in labor. Did not have a reservation and front desk person was very friendly and handled the situation immediately. Upon checkout the front desk supervisor was just amazing. Great location for Vanderbilt area. more
