Over 75 people stayed for 3 nights. Management went above & beyond to accomedate & help us out. Many new updates & upgrades to the facility. This is a rather large complex with about 7 or 8 motel style buildings, a few houses for rent on property, and a building which houses 2 reception rooms also available for rent. Stayed at Valley View in Townsend in August 2008 while attending a motorcycle rally. I was in building 5 and only complaint was the AC in back room where TV, table, kitchen is, and bed is in front room and didn't get real cool in there. My family was the guest of a wedding party, but opted to reserve our room for additional days and enjoy Townsend (which we loved!). We had one of the standard 2-queen-bed rooms and it was like a cave. We arrived to find all lights, the clock, air conditioner and refrigerator unplugged. This was a wonderful place to stay! My husband and I stayed here back in October of last year, be warned though this IS the busiest time of the year for this location. We had our company picnic at the Valley View and spent the weekend as well. We stayed in one of the suites and it was absolutely wonderful. In the fall of the year the property is absolutely beautiful. The lodge goes all out with fall decorating. People always come to the lodge during the fall to see the beautiful decorations.... more
