Official Description (provided by the hotel):: Hotel Blessing is noted for it's Historical Marker. An arcitect from Victoria built the hotel in 1906 and in 1977 it was listed to the Blessing Historical Foundation, Soon after it was restored and entered into the National Register of Historical Places, the first official listing in Matagorda County with this particular distinction. The Hotel Blessing is open for buisness we have several rooms to rent out and have daily and weekly rates. We now have wi-fi for our customers and are getting ready to do some renovating and updating the rooms. The Blessing Hotel coffee shop is open for breakfast 7am - 10 am and open for lunch 11am - 2 pm. Breakfast is home cooking, order off the menu and lunch is country cooking, and you serve yourself from the pots that are kept warm on the old antique stoves located in the dining room. “I Haven't Eaten Like This Since My Mom Died.”

The lunchroom at the Hotel Blessing is a well kept secret. We have eaten there before and we have been known to drive an hour out of our way to have lundh. The food is plentiful and delicious. “Wonderful home cooked meal”

What a true Texas experience. Lunch served in Miss Helen's kitchen .. Food made with love and talent and grace. Communal tables enhance the warmth of this experience. $9.00 will fill your stomach and heart! Get there as fast as you can.

We went here on a road trip on a recent Sunday. The buffet has a wide variety of comfort foods all for $9 per person. Just pay at the register when you arrive, grab a plate and start filling it up.
