If you stay-try to stay more than one night. It is too wonderful for a short visit! Walk the nature trail, sit out under the stars, sleep like a baby. Perfectly clean, uncluttered, refreshing. Bring a few snacks along since it's out in the beautiful woods (but only about 6 miles from Downtown Brownwood). more

I would highly recommend Star of Texas B&B as a weekend getaway from Dallas, San Antonio or Austin. The drive is relatively straightforward from any of those points and from each direction there is at least one (if not several) wineries to stop in almost exactly half way there.
