My wife and I recently spent our anniversary at the Hudspeth. We strongly recommend this bed and breakfast. It was very clean, affordable, and exceptionally elegant. The atmosphere was enchanting. The hosts were hands down the nicest, most helpful, and charming people we've ever had. The food is five star quality. The city is also full of activities. We went... More

What a delightful stay! Our hosts made special arrangements for our late arrival - it felt like coming home! Our homemade oatmeal waffles with homemade apple syrup were the perfect way to start off our busy day visiting the local university! Our room and accommodations were just what we needed to fully rest after our long trip. More

TEXAS, the musical production that is offered in the Palo Duro Canyon Park was something on our "bucket list". We left Houston early in the morning and arrived in Canyon early enough in the evening to check in at the Hudspeth House Bed and Breakfast in Canyon, Texas, eat a meal at a local eatery, take pictures of some of... This B & B is the best I have ever visited. The hosts (Jill and Van) were friendly, knowledgeable and a joy to be around. The breakfasts were marvelous. The room (Chloe) was beautifully decorated with a wonderfully comfortable bed. The building is close to 100 years old and utterly charming. Just being there reminded me of the movie "Somewhere... We stayed there this past weekend and loved it! The house is beautiful and our room was lovely, we stayed in the Lighthouse! The owners, Jill & Van were wonderful and very friendly. Upon arrival Jill gave us tips on where and what to do in Canyon and we took her advice and ate at the Thai Restaurant on the... More

Unless you prize flexibility or isolationism over reasonability and practicality, there is really no reason you should not stay at the Hudspeth House as opposed to any of the other hotels in Canyon, TX. Here's why: 1.) You will stay in a clean, beautifully furnished and decorated room which has literally been hand-crafted in nearly every way. That is to... More

We were greated by the owner which was very friendly. We were shown to our room and give tips for going to the play in Palo Duro Canyon, which were our plans for the evening. The inn was very quite and the beds very comfortable. At breakfast the next morning the owner blessed the food before serving yogart with fruit.... More

We bought the Couples package including the Texas Musical. I've never stayed in a Bed and Breakfast before...what a delight! The House is beautiful, the hosts are very friendly and welcoming. We stayed in the Lighthouse room on the third floor....the only complaint we have is that the tub was too short...lol. We couldn't stretch out and soak. That will... More

We truly enjoyed our stay. Beautiful home and accommodations. I would highly recommend to anyone staying in the Canyon area. Jill was quite helpful in her advise of timing when to get to the Texas show -- allowed me to grab a nap first. Great value and service. More

We stayed at the Hudspeth House and went to see the Texas musical for a quick anniversary outing. The house was beautiful and had a very interesting history, including a connection with Georgia O'Keefe. Jill and Van were so friendly and made us feel right at home. Palo Duro Canyon has such pretty views - even during a record-breaking drought.... More
