Highly recommended for a family getaway. Beautiful location right next to McKinney Roughs State Park and only a two hour drive from Houston. I was here for business but would love to come back for a relaxing time away from big city stress. The atmosphere has somewhat of a "rustic" feel, but is in no way rustic. Very nice. Golf, horseback riding, spa, restaurants, etc are quite expensive. more

Hyatt Lost Pines is a upper scale resort outside of Austin. We just spent one night at the resort so we did not get to experience the horse trail and golf, but we did get to see many parts of the resort. They have a nice pool with a small beach for the kids. They also have a separate area... more

I tend to be very particular about our hotels! The bathrooms were wonderful (separate bath and shower a huge plus in my book), the rooms clean and large, the views amazing, and the fun was fantastic! My family stayed at the Lost Pines resort this past weekend. We had a two bedroom/bath suite with living room. Very nice, but pricey. Overall the resort is extremely nice. Well laid out.
