This was amazing. The spa was so relaxing, and there were so many events happening. There was always something for the kids, and even for me and my mom to do. We went star-gazing, and ate s'mores, and watched Matilda. We were close to Austin and did all our sight-seeing in one day. And watched the bats. All in all... more

From the moment you turn from Hwy 71 into Hyatt Lost Pines entrance, you know this place is special. The miles of winding "driveway" are lavished with all sorts of native Texas plants, trees and wildlife. We start unwinding as we get closer to the resort. I always find the the staff to be welcoming and extremely helpful. When Room... more

I loved the resort.. the surroundings are georgeous and secluded. The pool, slide and lazy river are great. Your kids will have a great time.. Also from 7-9 you can join everyone for smores in the common area followed by a kids movie and popcorn outside on the large inflatable screen.. Nice touch.. Bring your own snacks and food or... more

This hotel being in the Hyatt chain was nice, but was overpriced. Our room was called a 'deluxe' and was suppose to come with a newspaper, but we never got one. We had minimum towels for the room. I left a note for additional towels and they were only left for the 1 day. The next day was back to... more

Just know that when you reserve your pricey room, you have just begun to spend. The location is beautiful, but remote, so you can't just decide to go somewhere else for dinner one night or run down to the corner store to pick up a few groceries. No, you are a captive audience and, boy, do they take advantage of... more

Highly recommended for a family getaway. Beautiful location right next to McKinney Roughs State Park and only a two hour drive from Houston. Our room was on the second floor with a large pecan tree in front. Sitting on our room's patio was like being in a tree house. We did a nature trail hike from the Hyatt to McKinney... more

I was here for business but would love to come back for a relaxing time away from big city stress. The atmosphere has somewhat of a "rustic" feel, but is in no way rustic. Very nice. Golf, horseback riding, spa, restaurants, etc are quite expensive. more

Hyatt Lost Pines is a upper scale resort outside of Austin. We just spent one night at the resort so we did not get to experience the horse trail and golf, but we did get to see many parts of the resort. They have a nice pool with a small beach for the kids. They also have a separate area... more

I tend to be very particular about our hotels! The bathrooms were wonderful (separate bath and shower a huge plus in my book), the rooms clean and large, the views amazing, and the fun was fantastic! The lazy river was huge hit with my whole family. Not to mention the splash pad, bikes for use all over the property, Butterfly... more

My family stayed at the Lost Pines resort this past weekend. We had a two bedroom/bath suite with living room. Very nice, but pricey. Overall the resort is extremely nice. Well laid out. Very pretty surrounding. Food was very good, but not exceptional. Liquor prices were steep at the bars. Service was very friendly. There is lots to do for... more
