The hotel is very gross, very small, and has a musty smell to it. There is not free parking. You either pay for someone else to park it or you find your own parking space by a parking meter. The place smells. You cannot sleep, because the light is let in by the cracks in the door, and the walls... more

I was looking for a hotel that was away from the convention I was attending at the Hyatt, and this place sounded ideal. Unfortunately it is soooo tired there was just nothing redeeming about it at all. The carpets were obviously decades old, the bathtub was 100 different shades of off white, the walls are so thin I only got... more

The elegantly appointed room shown on the website was NOT what I got. I should have known better given that the hotel was built in 1925. The room was small and kind of dingy. That being said I have no complaints about the customer service, breakfast, free shuttle or free wifi. The location is also great. Would I recommend to... more

I picked this hotel because of its proximity to The House of Blues Dallas and The Craft Dallas. A previous reveiwer had mentioned that it was less expensive than surrounding hotels and that it was a good choice if you just needed a place to sleep. I am so glad I heeded his advice. I would stay at this hotel... more

This hotel has tried very hard to modernize an old structure. I would call the design Art Deco but I have NO design background. We found the housekeeping staff helpful to our written request for the 2nd night. We asked for another pillow and another blanket as I found the bedding too light for the weather. We used the shuttle... more

Rooms - smelly, tired, grim. Bath blocked, lights broken & really shabby. Bar - closed as the barkeeper was tired so he threw us out Sunday at 6pm. Breakfast - small room, poor selection. Hotel amenities - Housekeeping may or may not bother to turn up. Only one lift which is about to expire of old age. The staff are... more

This hotel has me a bit torn in my review. The hotel itself is wonderfully located, right by the Reunion Tower, Dealy Plaza and West End are within walking distance, Union Station right across the street to catch the DART trains (to the Fair!), and if that isn't enough, the hotel offers a shuttle to take you anywhere you want... more

I didn't like this hotel because they were rude to me and friends. I came for a wedding. When we were bringing in stuff from after the wedding which included some large coolers, the receptionist gave us a very loud and rude speech about getting one warning for loud partying and then "you're out." Once she was finally done with... more

first off its not a modern super hotel. ive stayed in plenty of them and i find them somewhat generic and bland. what first made me think the hotel lawrence was different was the guy on the front desk. Didnt catch his name but when i booked in he was probably the nicest front desk guy i had ever met.... more

My daughter and I stayed here one night. We chose this hotel because of its proximity to Dealey Plaza. We loved our stay here. The hotel is very old, but that gives it a ton of character. Plus, the hotel has been updated with every possible modern convenience - such as fast wi-fi internet connection, great bathroom in the room,... more
