I must say I had a very different experience from the other reviewers when I stayed with Amelia and was looking her up again. She's certainly a colourful character (and opinionated), but I think her advertising blurb says it all........ Amelia welcomes people of any color, unmarried couples, same-sex couples, smokers. I stayed here for one night in October and I will never stay here again. Please be warned that this is not a traditional bed and breakfast; it is the hostess' 2 bedroom/2 bath apartment. We finally found the "bed and breakfast" and it was located in a run-down area of Dallas with Razor wire around the building. This did not give us the "warm and fuzzies". She informed us that the room does not have a lock and that we would have to check all our "good stuff" with her. My husband said no... more

Thought she was wonderful initially when my son and his Godmother went to stay for 3 weeks. The first night Amelia instructed my boy to go to be at 8:30 instead of his usual bedtime. When he called me to complain I spoke to Amelia and explained that his Godmother shall be responsible for him and shall set his limits.... more
