I live nearby, and for the past few years, that section has deteriorated very fast. I have noticed that a lot of Katrina evacuees, drug addicts, prostitutes, etc. go in and out of that place on a regular basis. The streets nearby have a high number of burglaries and thefts. I paid one month in advance in cash. I stayed one week and had to check out early. I gave notice but they refused to refund my 3 weeks cash prepaid.
