My husband and I were traveling from Arizona to Texas for Thanksgiving. We did the Carlsbad Caverns in New Mexico and did not want to drive all the way to San Antonio after a day of walking around the caverns. I booked the La Quinta in advance as the location is GREAT - right of Interstate 10. Prior to booking,... more

Rooms were in need of a fresh coat of paint. Bathroom was in bad shape. Bed was comfortable and the rest of the room was very clean. Room size was excellent. Breakfast was as advertised (continental) and was fine. Staff was polite and professional. Not a bad hotel, just needs a little more maintenance. more

It gets a bad rap on Trip Advisor, but I found it pleasant. Better than a lot of other places that I have stayed for the same price. more

We were driving cross-country and booked this hotel sight unseen. Which was probably how we should have left it -- unseen. Among the problems: both of our rooms (we had two) reeked of smoke. We called the desk to see if we could switch to a non-smoking room, but were told they had none. We were not sure if there... more

Not ever having stayed in fort stockton before, we blinded booked the La Quinta, thinking hey other la quintas we've been to were nice enough. All we wanted was a clean room to get some sleep before we hit the road. They could not deliver. There was blood on the curtains, no one had taken out the trash, the bathroom... more

Since Fort Stockton was a small town and we were there for a church conference, we didn't really expect the hotel to be very wonderful. But this place beats all expectations: you can never expect SUCH shoddy management/food/service; the rooms were dirty at best. We had to change rooms no less than 4 times because the rooms they gave us... more

This La Quinta is very run down. The first room (104) I was given had had the door kicked in and the management had not even bothered to repair the wood work or repaint. Also, the floor had obviously not been vaccumed and the counters were dirty. The second room (122) seemed cleaner, but after I had unloaded my car... more

We stayed at this hotel for one night in late December on the way to Santa Fe, NM. First LQ experience - nothing special but wasn't expecting anything special to begin with. Bed was comfy, complimentary breakfast was underwhelming. more

It used to be that you could count on La Quinta for good and consistent quality at a reasonable price - but not after staying here. The bathroom was worse than what you'd expect in a 3rd world country: peeling tub bottom, no drainage, dangling spout, filthy light switch with exposed metal, rotting door frame. The breakfast area was filthy:... more

I selected this hotel for the good price ($60 for 2Q rm) and I have typically been satisifed with La Quinta. Overall I suppose I got what I paid for. The room was decent but it could have been cleaner. If you walked around barefoot your feet would get dirty from the carpet. The tub was quite dirty, like all... more
