After arriving early in the morning, around 4:30 am, we were told there would be no AAA or AARP discount due to arriving after the cut off time, we were very tired and could not find a place that had a first floor available other than this place, my wife has medical problems that make getting up and down stairs... more

The saying goes “you get what you pay for.” Most of the time this is true. However, the old adage does not ring true when staying at the Super 8 hotel in Fort Stockton, Texas. At $95 per night these reviewers were thoroughly unimpressed with this place. Overall: As you walk into the hotel you can’t help but notice the... more

Stopped in Ft. Stockton for the night only because we were too tired to keep driving. Room was fine, not great, but just OK. The room actually looked better than the greasy looking hallways, so I was a bit relieved. We did not experience the ticks the other reviewer posted about, thank goodness, but I always take my own blankets... more

Don't stay here, keep on driving. Non-smoking rooms reeked of smoke but the real kicker was the bed full of ticks. We changed rooms 4 times and still ended up with ticks but this was the last available room. more

Both times I've stayed in this hotel was because I had to. One time I-10 was closed at Ft. Stockton and this was the only room I could find. And this last time we were too tired to keep driving so I went back. The firs time I was just happy to find a room and VERY HAPPY they didn't... more

The West Texas oil boom is obvious here. The parking lot is packed with oilfield contractors. The rooms had greasy hand prints on the walls near doors and light switches. The bathroom smelled of mildew. All of this and the price neared $100 dollars (!) with tax. I suspect the oil boom is pushing up prices, and they are cashing... more

This place is so dirty. The halls are very dirty and smell from obvious lack of cleaning. The included "breakfast" is pretty awful. Foods look as though purchased at the local 7-11. The lobby is deceiving. It didn't look bad at all. Should have stayed elsewhere. Overall, if you can avoid staying in Fort Stockton, do it. We have had... more

From what I read, I did not expect too much. The room was clean, cool and quiet. The desk staff were very professional and nice. Breakfast is not so hot, went down to IHOP instead. However for the price, I was pleased. more

Did not expect much from what I read. My room was cool, clean and quiet. Good hot water and pressure. Not so great breakfast but nice grounds and very safe. I remember this as a Holiday Inn many years ago and it is much improved since then. I suggest IHOP for breakfast out on the Interstate however. My feeling is... more
