We stayed here for our 15th anniversary and were lucky enough to be able to go to a USO style hangar dance - it was a blast! Lots of nostalgia in a really neat room. Garrett, at the front desk, was very friendly as was Rick, who made the stay extra special for my husband by showing him the C-47... more

My husband and I switched from the Bed and Brew to the Hangar Hotel over Valentine's Day weekend. They have the same owner. We had seen the Hangar Hotel a few years ago and loved it, but were curious and booked instead at the Bed and Brew. After our first sleepless night we switched. Management was very accommodating about the... more

Great fun to stay in this stylish venue - and a delight to watch the sun setting over the runway with light aircraft coming and going. The 1940s theme is very well executed in the spacious, comfortable rooms - but it's not cheap. We knew the Diner wouldn't be open the night we stayed, but there was very little back-up... more

The favorite part of our trip to Fredericksburg was hanging out at the hotel! I called the day before to ask if our room had a fridge/microwave & coffee maker, which it did not. However, the man offered to move us into a room that did (a suite) free of charge. We had a very spacious room with full fridge... more

Hotel was completely booked when I called them 6 weeks before the Pearl Harbor Day Event. They took my name and number and actually called me a couple of weeks to later to tell me they had a cancellation. Wow, were we lucky! This place is really great. From the outside, it looks like a regular hangar, but there is... more

This was an absolute BLAST! We are from the Austin area and recently moved to Houston. We came back to the hill country because both my wife and I just love the area and love Fredericksburg. We decided to come in the middle of the week and leave on Friday to avoid the massive crush of people for the wine... more

Marvelous trip back in time. Employees are dressed as 1940s Air Force personnel. Phones, clocks, blankets, etc. are all designed for the period. The Officer's Club is a great place to hang out in the evening to hear some wonderful stories. Just out back of the Hangar is the airport runway where there were lots of refurbished airplanes from the... more

Hello everyone! We have stayed here on average once a month, since the hotel opened, even though we live just down the road in Austin. It's a quiet hotel, you can enjoy the stillness of the runway between the takeoffs & landings of the planes. Oddly enough, the noise of the planes and other vehicles won't disturb you like you'd... more

Very cute inside. I went for a wedding and everyone was excited to be there for the event. The hotel staff was nice, EXCEPT for the bar staff. Very rude bar staff, the worst I have ever come across. It was very disappointing, because the bar had a great ambiance. They had a pool table and a piano, but unfortunately... more

A very cold place.... Drive up to blacktop and metal, nice lobby, nothing going on, the bar and the diner were closed. No pool, or jacuzzi, no grounds to walk..... Nothing like what you would think of Fredericksburg, Texas. The front desk staff were too busy visiting with each other to pay any attention to us. The roonm was clean,... more
