This beautiful & charming Inn is a remodeled 1800's historical home on Galveston Island. The decor makes you feel like you are living in the Victorian days. You can also ride the horse & buggy which passes by daily. The rooms are lovely with claw tubs, victorian styles, and lots of antiques. This is a great place to get away,... more

So happy we tried this place out! Wanted someplace special for our anniversary. A bit hesitant due to post hurricane blues, but they have come back strong! Beautiful grounds to roam around in, lovely dining room, newly renovated post storm, GREAT food, friendly & accomadating Innkeepers & wonderful beds! It was more than we could have asked for in light... more

My husband and I were lucky to find such a charming and amenable B&B in Galveston during a holiday week - 4th of July. The Inn at 1816 Postoffice is only a few blocks away from the Strand and harbor area. We walked every day !!!! We went to the Strand shopping area, around the East End Historic homes, and... more

This was my second stay at this lovely Bed and Breakfast in downtown Galveston. My husband and I enjoyed the Garden Room when we went to see a show at the Grand Opera House. Everything about this Inn is elegant with attention to every detail. Saturday evening we had a lovely array of fruit, vegetables, and cheeses with red and... more

My husband and I just returned from a trip to Galveston and stayed at the Inn at 1816 Postoffice. We had a wonderful, romantic weekend in the beautiful restored Theodore room. The feather bed was so comfortable, the veranda with the wicker swing was perfect, and the breakfast was great. After a nice wine and cheese hour at 5:30, the... more

This was my third experience with a bed and breakfast, and I was not impressed with the inn at 1816 postoffice. While the house was nice, the hospitality was non-existant. Before receiving a tour or any history on the house, my credit card was being charged. Breakfast was okay- we were "informed" that breakfast was at 8:30...so much for a... more

This is one of the best Bed and Breakfast's I have stayed in. The rooms were clean and fresh. The young lady who greeted me was gracious and hospitable, taking time to talk a little bit about the history of the house. The wine, cheese and crackers at 5:30 were delious. We spent much of the day at the various... more

This was more than we could have expected from any hotel. Our room (the Theodore Room) was more than beautiful. It was quaint and comfortable, the decor was perfect, the room was immaculate. I just can't say enough about it. The bed was a dream. Being able to walk out on the balcony and sit in the wicker porch swing... more

This is a beautiful B&B located very close to the Strand on the edge of the Victorian District. The block occupied by the b&b is not pretty but nice areas are close for walking or biking using the bikes from the b&b. Rooms are fine. Breakfast was good but not outstanding. more
