Overview: the property is located off of I 35 a couple of blocks, on the banks of the sometimes flowing San Gabriel River. Two or three minutes from downtown Georgetown. The original property appears to be 1950’s, since remodeled in a Texas Hill Country theme. Approximately 15 rooms. Property amenities consist of Soda and Ice machine. There is a nearby... more

If you don't mind 1/2 inch gap between the door and frame, soiled box springs, (I didn't even look at the mattress), no plug in the bathroom, then this is the place for you. I definetly would not stay here with small children, because the furnishings are a hazard for the little ones. I would consider this just above camping,... more

We just returned from a brief trek through the Texas Hill Country where we took in a delightful performance of "The Music Man" in Georgetown - a must-see at the restored Palace Theater! Our one night in Georgetown was spent at the San Gabriel Motor Court on Austin St., a nostalgic alternative to run-of-the-mill motels, especially for the over-50 traveller.... more
