Expensive resort with lots of amenities. Rooms are average, with less than average soundproofing. Indoor atrium is especially nice. Four restaurants to choose from, best value is Ama Lur. Front desk staff at the hotel were very friendly and efficient and check in was very quick. The room was typical two queen beds with desk and refrigerator with "free" water (2 bottles per day included in the additional hotel fee). This was my first trip to the Dallas area and I expected it to be uncomfortably hot. And it was...but to our great delight the Gaylord is completely enclosed in a glass bubble that is climate controlled. I know that may sound stuffy and couped up but believe me it was not.
