The first thing I would like to say is that the pictures one finds of this Residence Inn online are not telling the whole story. The vast majority of the rooms are located not in the quaint looking "gatehouse" (as they like to call it) but in very utilitarian 3-story motel style buildings which flank the "gatehouse" on three sides.... more

We drove to Houston for a long holiday weekend. With 3 kids, we chose a 2 bedroom suite. The rooms were nice and spacious - and loved the free breakfast. We liked the easy access to the highway so we could see the sights. We went to NASA and the Whitte Museum. more

Well the title says it all. Evertime I turned on the kitchen light there they were. My husband noticed bigger cockroaches outside. Not good. Kitchen is old and dated. They charge you $8.00 for parking that they don't tell you so be careful. On the plus side great location (you can walk to the galleria) big rooms but is not... more

We loved our stay here. The staff was very accomodating to anything we may have needed. We loved the gentleman that ran the breakfast on the weekends. He couldn't do enough to make your breakfast enjoyable. He was cheerful. This Residence Inn was clean and well taken care of. The only disappointing point was we had requested a rollaway bed... more

We booked a room here for 2 nights on expedia. We arrived after 6pm and the front desk told us that we didn't have a reservation afterall...after we'd paid in full online. To add to the annoying confusion, there was a language barrier. Ultimately, we were able to straighten out things w/ Expedia and the desk clerk "discovered" that we... more

Hotel seems to be a converted apartment or motel, rooms access from an outdoor "breezeway." My biggest complaint is that the walls seem to be paper thin- all noise transmits from adjoining room(s). Staff seems pleasant enough, but I can never envision a stiuation where I would return to this property based on the over "feel" of the room (old... more

I love Residence Inn, but enjoyed this especially. Within walking distance of the Galleria - it was mecca for the teenage girls in our group. The room was large and we had everything we needed. The breakfast was generous - perfect for our athletes, with a good hot meal before they went on to competition. But the thing that impressed... more

This is a typical Residence Inn. The set up is very similar to other Marriott Residence Inns. One thing set that this hotel apart is the convenient location. It is set back behind the busy Westheimer in the Galleria Area. A supermaket nearby is wonderfully convenient. One night, when it was raining very hard, I just walked to the supermarket... more

The location, the hotel and staff were superb. Really helpful staff. Location is near the Galleria Center and I was able to walk to most of my appointments in the area. more

When you wake up to find a dead cockroach in your living room, all other pluses and minuses become inconsequential. When you wake up the next morning to find that roach's mate scurrying about looking for his pal, it's all over folks. We were staying there with two young kids who were all over the floors and one was even... more
