Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Worst experience ever. Flight was delayed due to Max 9 grounding. Finally arrived at hotel at 12:30 to check in, only for front desk to tell me my reservation had been cancelled at 11:15pm. I didn’t cancel the reservation, I was on an airplane, so who did? Front desk didn’t have an answer and didn’t assist in any way possible to accommodate me in another room. Called the corporate line for assistance, they also didn’t help is any way. Said it’s all up to the specific hotel since they are franchised. I asked the guy at the front desk to call his manager and he said no, because she’s asleep. I manager on duty at 12am the morning of the College Football Playoff championship game?? I also witnessed another family of three leave the property because their pull out couch didn’t have a mattress, and Extended Stay literally did nothing to help them out either. On my way out the door, I noticed that family leaving and I felt worse for them than I did for me. My advise to the trip adviser fam… DO NOT EVER BOOK A ROOM HERE.

Nasty hotel. The managers promised me a refund. I contacted them 3 times and Booking.com which 2 managers promised a partial refund. They let this conversation go on for a month, now they are refusing to refund me.

DEPLORABLE CONDITIONS! Reservations was 5/30 - 6/4 - no changes / modifications allowed to RSVP. Plane was delayed and I would not be able to check in until 6/1 around 730-800am. Called and explained situation - Monique checked me in on 5/30 and left the key card at the desk. I arrived around 745am on 6/1, no manager - she was asleep in the car. She came in rubbing her eyes and gave me the key. I noticed trash in the hallways and on the elevator. Upon entry to my room, I noticed the door didn't securely lock, no light bulb in the bathroom fixture, the shower was missing the knob, there was a damp towel hanging on the hook, trash was on the side of the bed by the wall, sticky soda rings were on the dresser, the bed looked slept in, the closet rack was broken, and there was absolutely NOTHING in the kitchenette. On top of that, I got to listen to the hookers next door, for the entire hour I was actually in the room, My friend picked me up at 850am, and when I told her about the conditions, she made me get my things and check out. On my way back to my room I passed a guy in the hallway who looked - and semlled - like he was coming off a 3 day bender. When I went downstairs on my way out, absolutely no manager on site - dropped my key in the basket. One our way out of the parking lot, we drove past a man punching the iron fence and a woman walking through the parking lot wearing a blanket tied around her neck like a cape. Go anywhere else but here!

The worst ESA's in the Houston area. My wife and I stayed here briefly while I was going to the VA hospital- big mistake. chaotic loud, with weird crazy guest. Barking dogs, dog and pet waste everywhere Washing machines didn't work and repeated complaints were ignored. The carpets were filthy - they never steam clean them. Pet dander and pet waste stains from too many dogs in rooms. If you doubt it- take a tape lint roller and go along the carpet and then look at the debris- nauseating. They bend over backwards to accommodate pet owners at the expense of the regular guests. Crazy super loud 24 hours per day. No way to get any rest -let alone sleep. THey ignore the quite hours. A poorly constructed old building with a fancy paint job. Super thin walls and floors. Avoid the 2nd or 1st floors- the overhead noise as people stomp is unbearable. Cars zooming in and out of U shaped parking lot blasting out on loud booming rap music. People below us playing music. Cars pulling up next to windows where guests sleeping with crazy loud music at 2 am in morning. Many ESA's like this one have turned into transient locations where people sleep in their cars and loiter in the parking lot. It's almost as if it's a homeless shelter. A poorly constructed building with super thin walls and floors- t . The manager Jesse was not competent and often argues with the guest. The Assistant Gen manager is big and scary- too many tattoos and with a spiteful and malevolent attitude towards those Big and scary with a gangster like attitude. The staff plays favorites with guests. They do not enforce nor act upon any noise complaints. It's just way too loud to crazy too much inappropriate activity between 10PM and 5am No way to get any rest. No real security. Lots of seemingly mentally ill persons wandering around the property and hallways at odd hours. Our car was broken into once- but don't bother calling the Houston Police - they have a 3 hour response time at min to anything below shootings and emergencies. We've been staying at Extended Stays for a long time but this is last straw- this is one of the worst locations of all. Zero management and zero district management- the whole staff should be shown the door from our perspective. Avoid this crazy place. we're done with ESA's for a while.

The worse hotel experience of my life. I reserved a room to stay for 3 days, tried to request a refund after the 1 day and was declined by staff. the only elevator was broken and staff stated that it would not be fixed for a couple of days, it was rare to see a staff member at the front desk. There was trash and dog poop on the stairs, and you could hear people yelling in the hallways every day. The room itself was a disaster. Other residents were letting their dogs run around the hallways. Sides of the bathroom floors were torn up, the ceiling was peeling off, the kitchen floor was peeling, the room was non smoking and smelled like smoke. I am currently working on requesting for a refund and staff is adamant about no refunds. Worth spending some extra money to stay somewhere else than here.

I'm getting treatment at the local regional VA Med center/hospital in houston. This is the best location i'v found that's closest to the VA near NRG stadium. If you're a veteran traveling to Houston for medical treatment at the large VA center here-you should consider this location. Especially if you're service connected disabled. The general and assistant managers here do a great job. They hustle and currently have good team in place under them. The charismatic assistant manager -Ms. leslie, is one of the best i've seen in 10years of staying at ESA locations nationwide. She's a professional & they need to promote her in the company. She's great with operations and customer service. Skilled at conflict management/resolution and de-escalation with noise/security complaints. The 2 managershere have to do alot with a very limited staff and budget. Both work long hours and multiple shifts. They go above and beyond to help out the guests and get the job done. Moreover, the Maintenace man is also one of the best I've seen with ESA. He bends over backwards to help out the guests. additionally the day and swing shift guys that work front desk are a really good. They are professionals. Lastly, the night shift crew supervisor- Tanya does a awesome job. She handles noise issues and security really well. She and security keep the place quiet and peaceful. They need to promote her as well in this organization. This location is only 20 minutes with light traffic to the Michael DeBkly VA center. I'm glad some of my fellow vets pointed it out to me 6 months ago.

High Risk! Come and get your most valuable items stolen right out of your room! Awesome!! Front doors left open all night. Front desk unattended after 11.00pm with an open front door. Fire exits open from the outside. People occupying under the stairs in fire exit on street side leaving paraphernalia behind. Premises had vending machine smashed open at 4.00am , the 2nd night there, the next day the front desk had no idea. Machine remained smashed with broken glass for over 2 weeks, possibly still there. Management cannot obtain video footage for an incident.

The lock to the side door was broken, allowing people to enter the entire hotel without first passing by the front desk. Nice location. Minimal breakfast. Front desk person was about what you would expect at a lowly rated motel. Perhaps the owners are saving up for a rehab.
