We stayed on the 12th floor of this hotel for one night. It was very quiet and the room was decorated very modern with a retro flair and was fairly spacious. Spent 3 nights here. Second time I've stayed here. Staff is friendly, check in was easy. Valet parking staff is great although it can get hectic at peak times. The Derek hotel is a nice modern hotel in the galleria area of Houston. It's in good condition 4/5, has nice rooms, friendly staff and a good location. My stay at Hotel Derek was quite enjoyable. I had a few Meetings in Houston and chose to stay at the Hotel Derek. The staff was quite helpful with transpotation and local restaurants. My stay at Hotel Derek was so relaxing and convenient. I was pleased with the location because their were so many restaraunts nearby and the Galleria across the way. The view from the room was beautiful. Seeing the lights of the Galleria district at night was calming. I had fresh linen and clean and crisp towels for the whole weekend.... more
