My mother and I stayed at this hotel for one night because we needed an inexpensive and convenient place to stay while we visited a sick relative. My mother had stayed at this same hotel about 5 years ago and had a very positive experience then. We also had a very positive experience staying at a Red Roof Inn in the Dallas/Fort Worth area last year. But we were both disappointed with this visit.
This location is obviously long overdue for a remodel and redecorating. We asked the desk clerk if there was a more recently updated room we could switch to. She was reasonably pleasant and helpful and did show us another room, but it was no better than the one we had. She told us the hotel is scheduled for updates in November.
In the meantime, however, furnishings were shabby, carpeting in the hallway had huge stains, towels and bedding were shabby and stained. We weren't expecting luxury - just a clean and decently furnished room - and didn't get it.
