We got into the Inn at the Ballpark through Priceline for a convention - not sure I would have picked it otherwise. Theme hotels are just not my thing. However, the hotel was nice - great lobby bar and the room was a solid 4 star. Big bathroom with good amenities, good linens and towels. The theme means that the... More

The Inn at the Ballpark is a very nice hotel. It is located next to Minute Maid park and the them of the hotel is baseball. We had a King room. It was very comfortable. Decent bed, nice flat-screen tv, free wifi, large bathroom. We had dinner in the restaurant and it was fantastic. The food was very good and... More

The hotel is downtown, very close to the ballpark (hence the name). It is very consistently themed with baseball pictures on teh wall, drawings, statuettes..... I'm not into baseball (not an American) but I can appreciate that this is a total effort at getting the decor right! Very clean and tidy; a it dark for my liking, as much due... More

While moving out of our downtown loft we decided to stay here since the bedding was packed. We should have just slept at our loft! After a long day of packing we just wanted a long shower and to go to bed. The young man who checked us in was nice. They were having some kind of function down in... More

Clean rooms, but WiFi access didn't work in my room. Had to hang out in the main lobby to gain access to the Internet. The issue flummoxed their "engineering staff" during my entire stay as they were able to replicate but could not solve.. One would have thought they might offer a room change to possibly alleviate the problem...but no... More

Nothing like showing up at a boutique hotel for a conference being held across the street at 12:30 AM and being told the hotel had overbooked and was moving you. At least they had the courtesy to sent the package I had sent there to the other hotel by courier. C'mon guys? Myself and the two others in line behind... More

Only complaint is clunky internet access. And that may have been a transient condition. Otherwise, this is one of the more nicely appointed hotels I have ever used. More

Great hotel if you're downtown for sports, business or entertainment. Very friendly staff, great shuttle van service and very good restaurant. Good bar and decent workout room. Large rooms too. More

I came to Houston for business during the 2012 Olympic trials. Downtown was buzzing. The hotel staff is always kind and welcoming. I had a great room that overlooked the running course. My family and I enjoy this hotel as it is across the street from my favorite downtown destination, Minute Maid Park. My daughter and I love to order... More

I have stayed here a number of times. The staff is superb, always bubbly and accomodating. The interior looks like an English pub or an elegant take on a ski lodge. Rich, dark colors and fabrics, wood floors, and oversized furniture dominate. Perfect hotel to take your man for short vacation to visit the ballpark. The masculinity of the hotel... More
