Extremely pleased with a stay that after having read some of the reviews I had developed trepidations about, But then I realize what motel was I going to stay in for less than 70 with a kitchen, and fridge right downtown with good people to hang with in town? I am on the road 224 days a year so I can... More

Everything looks old and trashy there. No free wifi. Smells bad in the room. Staffs are helpful but strange. Not allow to stay in the lobby after 11pm. Neighborhood is unsafe. Price is ok. 22 for single room. More

Worst hostel I've ever been to. Not even a slightly bit clean, beds were hard and not comfortable, will never go there again. Even though it was cheap, it was not cheap enough for what it was like in the end. More

Rate this hostel with a zero. This hostel is not a member of the Hostelling International - USA; nor, does it compare to the Chicago IH. It does lead you to believe from the website that it is an international member. The owner and staff are very accomodating. The entry is not uninviting nor is the common lobby. The kitchen... More

This hostel is more in the hippie vein than the hipster, but if you're looking for a clean well run place for cheap this is your hostel. The staff is friendly and helpful and there are a lot of museums and a park in the area plus a light rail station about 6 blocks away gives you easy access to... More

I was a bit anxious when booking this hostel because of bad reviews. After staying there for three nights, I can cay that most of the negative comments are, in my opinion excessive. This hostel is a real bargain, which is quite rare in Houston. True, this is not your typical "HI" hostel. The accomodation is minimal - but sufficient... More

I really must say that of the many hostels I've happily and safely stayed at, this one is the absolute worst I've ever had the foul experience of staying at. While the management were quite helpful in allowing the six of us to book a room privately and even helped us to find a taxi and places to eat (no... More

I've stayed in several hostels around the U.S., and this is not a true hostel; it is a large family house with bedrooms containing bunk beds for travelers. The house is located in a residential neighborhood, so there aren't any restaurants or shops nearby. It is clean and the accommodations are minimal. The bathroom is shared and only one at... More

If you're going to Houston and need a good starting base, which is warm and homely and with good facilities - kitchen, washing-machine/dryers, tv room and friendly help at the desk, you can't do better than this. it's in a great location, too. I went recently, on my own, when you need some 'home' in a big, new city and... More
