My kids and I stayed there for a national debate tournament for almost a week. We travel quite a bit for debate and forensics and this was by far the absolute BEST hotel that we have had!! The beds were so comfortable, the room very clean, the staff wonderful, the food in the restaurant delish, and the pool great. We... more

I stayed at the hotel for 1 night passing through houston. This hotel is just as it looks in the pictures. The staff was friendly, the rooms were super clean, and it is nicely done. The rooms here are 2 room suites, the living room has a pull out couch, 32" flat screen tv, desk w/wireless, and wet bar/fridge area. The... more

I stayed at the Windsor Suites Hotel Southwest in Houston. I honestly cannot understand how this hotel could receive a 3.5 star rating!!!! The carpet and the room were filthy. I called in the early evening to confirm my reservation. It took them quite some time to find it. When I arrived [late at night], they had problems finding the... more

We stayed 2 nights in one of their newly renovated rooms, and thought that the nice new clean room at $90/night was the best value I have seen in years. I was much more happy with the room than the Ritz-Carlton I stayed in L.A. the week before at $238/night. Almost twice as much space as a small Ritz room,... more

This hotel was supposed to be converted to a Crowne Plaza as of March 2007, but was still a complete mess of reconstruction as of May. There was plastic hung about the lobby, broken concrete, dirt and loud construction going on. The hotel should have closed during this major renovation. One night we had no hot water. One morning during... more

I second the reviewer commenting on the construction. The hotel should be closed given the amount of renovation going on. Currently, it's dark, disgusting and dismal. The rooms are spacious, but the towels are threadbare, pillows and sheets and sub-par and there is zero charm in the decor. There is no restaurant in the hotel, the workout room is totally... more

I should have checked with tripadvisor before I stayed at this hotel. I booked my reservation through hotels.com and was not warned that this hotel was under construction. It looks like a war zone. Other reviews for this hotel state that construction should be done by Mar 2007, I really doubt that. They have soooo much more to do. It... more

Delay your stay at this houston hotel, the room we had for one nite, was moldy, the tub's liner was coming off, it was mildewy, the bed hard, the towels skimpy. at breakfast the toaster didn't work..and renovations were everywhere, plastic sheeting the smell of paint. etc more

Upon checkout, desk clerk did not ask anyone in our party "how was your stay." Why - exercise room has most equipment broken, breakfast is not very good, construction underway creates dirt and noise, construction worker smokes in the lobby. No bar. Better deals to be had in the general area. Equally marginal properties offer lower rates and superior properties... more

I stayed in this hotel for only 2 of the 3 nights I paid for because the construction going on made it unbearable. The paths to and from rooms is messy and dangerous (loose boards and rugs covering the paths). Only one elevator was functioning. No business center available and in-room internet (via TV) not working either. No area in... more
