I chose this hotel because it was very close and convenient to classes I was taking in southeast Irving near Shady Grove and MacArthur, and the price was right (about $45 per night AAA rate).
I was under the mistaken impression that it was an 'all-suite' property, but for the quoted price all I got was a very small room with a queen bed, a tiny desk, a wardrobe (in place of a closet), and a sort of window seat/daybed that might be useful for younger children.
This facility was built in 1998 and although it still looks fairly new on the outside, my room was showing signs of wear and tear. Nothing major, just worn carpeting, bedspread a little ragged, the outlet over the desk wasn't working, A/C cover was loose and flapping around, and the window wouldn't lock properly after I (perhaps foolishly) decided to open it to get some fresh air. The room also smelled musty and might have been smoked in even though it was designated non-smoking.
