We stayed there last night. Terrible Hotel. The room my wife had originally booked was not available so we were upgraded to a suite, room 211. A third floor walk-up, no elevator. The ground floor is just for parking due to the area's occasional flooding. It was a cold night and after running the heater for an hour, the room... more

Before knowing after we reserved our first night, we went ahead and reserved another night. Great Location. First night Rm 211 the King Size Bed had no mattrress!!! Just covered up springs. I'm telling the truth. I slept on the 4' couch. The next morning I reported it. Manager said no one else had complained. They went ahead and booked... more

Me and my wife stayed here in labor day weekend on sept. 5,09 saturday and had a real good time staying at passport inn & suites and throughly enjoyed the boardwalk area. Passport inn has clean rooms, reasonably priced and the location of the hotel is great. Hotel staff is corteous and service oriented we were pleased with them. They... more

The room was the last available room around. Should have known to run as soon as we pulled up but gave it a shot. Trash and clothes hangars were thrown throughout the stairwells and exterior walkways. Large stains and standing water from the a/c condensate lines leaking instead of draining. The room smelled like smoke and got all over my... more

This is the most disgusting hotel I've ever stayed in by far! Motel 6 blows this place away. Floors were uneven, bathtub covered with mold and mattress was old with springs. Several plugs were just wires hanging out including the fire alarm. The reception guy was rude and the price of the room was ridiculous! I could go on and... more

The Fire Alarm system is inspected by liscensed inspectors through the State Fire Marshall's office. They are installed and fucntioning properly. I double checked the system today and it is working properly. I am not aware of any electrical receptacles that have wires only. This has a potential to be a safety hazzard and will be investigated immedately.

Well this was suppose to be my anniversary weekend - and we got screwed out of 400.00 for two nights in this dump of a hotel! The jacuzzi SUITE - what a JOKE! The jacuzzi was all scratched up, discolored on the inside, unsanitary to say the least! You can feel holes in the floor through the apparent layers of... more

I've worked in several hotels and each has their policies and I have worked at some that do require 72hrs to cancel rooms. Many hotels today have policies for no cancellations. The property is up front about the policy and it stated on the reservations and check-in registration as well as posted on the wall. There is one layer of...

The most horrific motel we have ever stayed at. To make it worse we were price gauged and had to pay $149 for a motel that normally costs $59!!! Disgusting carpet, broken bed, rusted out bath tub and DIRTY SHEETS!! We almost left at 4am but we were there for a wedding. In a word.. GROSS! Not to mention there... more

The property is not dirty! We are in progress of some property rennovations. We are about 50-60% complete at this time. Carpets have been replaced! We've started doing sheets on property instead of using the Texas Linen Service. Continental Breakfast is available each morning Sun-Sat 6AM - 9"30 Am with several choices of products. Fruits ,Juices, cereals, pastries, oatmeal, grits,...

On entering the room we were met with a nasty smell. I'm guessing mildew and smoke. The base boards were peeling, no sprinkler in sight, bloody fingerprint on the outside of the shower curtain, a long black hair hanging on the outside of the bathtub, the caulk around the tub was black with mildew, the trash can had trash in... more

Management response from
Eric Shaffer, Guest Services Manager

Properties are visited and scored twice per year by the quality assurance auditors and this facility scores well on each standard. Rooms have reccently been rennovated and painted. Most rooms were painted during the month of May and some rooms were finished in June.

I don't believe i have ever stayed a nastier place than the Passport Inn . If we can't find anything better than this , we wil not come back to Kemah. I understand that the Hurricaine did alot of damage in this area, but, give us a break. Don't charge $ 200.oo a night for a $50.00 dollar a night... more

The hotel is being renovated. We are working on painting the guest rooms at this time. Furniture has been replaced in all guest rooms to include granite topped writing desks, a plush sofa chair, and cherrywood accented case goods. Irons and Blow dryers are available upon reuest. We've been serving continental breakfast since march 2006 except during a brief period...
