I stay mostly in HI Express hotels because the majority are brand new, clean, offer good service, and provide a fitness center. This hotel in Lubbock was no exception. We rented the "Jacuzzi Suite" which was really just a regular room with a jacuzzi (which was not in the bathroom, but still big and nice.) It coulda used a good scrubbing, and (eww) I did find a hairball in it. The staff was extremely courteous and helpful, and it was a central location though. I'd stay there again. more

The Lubbock Holiday Inn Express offers good value for your money, with nice rooms and an excellent breakfast buffet (love the coffee and cinnamon rolls!). The wireless internet access could use some strengthening and the bathrooms are a bit bland, but everything was clean. Best TV channel selection of any hotel I've ever stayed at. more

Large rooms, nice staff, good rates. Can't beat that! The location is fine. Lubbock is small and it only takes a few minutes to get anywhere in the city from here. This is the fifth hotel we've stayed at in Lubbock and we'd definitely return. more

We visited Lubbock for a wedding in early February and originally booked the Hawthorn Suites, based on its high rating in Trip Advisor. We switched at the last minute to the Holiday Inn Express because the Hawthorn outdoor pool wasn't heated and the Holiday Inn's is indoors.
