The cons:

Like the title says, money and items were stolen from our room.
We slept one night at this place which was o.k and went to Tikal very early in the morning. We took most of our expensive stuff with us, except for 400 Quetzales and iPod and headphones and clothing and small stuff from our big bagpacks.
Upon return we noticed that the top of my bag was openend and the iPod inside was missing. My girlfriend noticed that from her concealed moneybelt 400 Quetzales were missing.
We searched all our belongings twice just to make sure. We checked the lock on the door and it had not been tampered with. Only someone with a key could have taken our stuff, we concluded. I felt my temper rising ofcourse so we went downstairs to complain.
First I asked how many keys to the room were present including the one I took with me to Tikal. There were 2. Then I asked who had been cleaning our room. The person we talked to said he did the cleaning.
