This hotel was fine. The pool with waiter service was particularly nice. The rooms were fine, and the view from the balcony good. I just think the hotel is too expensive for what it offers and would spend the money on something else. I'm fine spending money on hotels, this one just doesn't merit it. more

After reading reviews on this site, I was a bit concerned about staying at the Espléndido. I stayed at the hotel two nights with three girlfriends and we were initially delighted with the amenities -- we had air conditioning, easy access to Flores (though it is not located in the main part of town), and to the ruins. This quickly eroded as it became obvious that the staff was not there to help in the slightest.... more
